Following a draw against Finland on Sunday, Norway U16 secured an important 2-1 victory over Sweden in Hjørring this morning. Landslagstrener Eline Kulstad-Torneus provided positive feedback about the team's performance:
- A Solid Team Effort
Norway had control of much of the game and created many good attacking situations, but Sweden had a very good goalkeeper who made it difficult for them. 'We feel we should have scored three goals before halftime,' says Kulstad-Torneus.
- A Spectacular Goal
Mali Nonstad Braathen gave Norway the lead with a volley after 70 minutes, while Mathilde Aasdokken added another goal just three minutes later. 'A spectacular goal,' says Kulstad-Torneus.

- Meeting Denmark on Saturday
The tournament concludes with a match against the host nation, Denmark, on Saturday. 'We have spent a lot of time preparing for this match in the Netherlands and we have taken note of many of the things we want to improve after that session,' says Kulstad-Torneus.
Norway's next challenge is an important match against Denmark where they must win to secure their place in the finals. 'At our best, we need to be on par with them,' says Kulstad-Torneus.
